Kemper Park

At the bottom of the Monticello walking trail this thick wooded area is a favourite for autumn. Dog friendly and areas of space for big family groups.

Carters Mountain

Whats more fun than apple picking? Morning and evening shoots here get perfect light through the orchard trees, and makes for a fun action filled time with something to keep little ones entertained.

Ravens Roost Overlook

Well worth the 40 minute drive out of town, Ravens Roost provides unbeatable views across the blue ridge mountain at sunset, and perfect all year round.

Mount Ida

A backdrop of rolling hills, this is a great vineyard for group shots and the bonus of being able to grab some pre-shoot drinks!

Kings Family Vineyard

Another beautiful Vineyard with white horse barns and mountain views close to Charlottesville.

University of Virginia

The UVA side gardens are some of my favourite hidden treasures that constantly change throughout the year, as well as the iconic Rotunda. This is a great setting for formal headshots and portraits, as well as intimate couple photos in the gardens.

Monticello

Jefferson sure knew how to build a home with a view! Mountain backdrops, gorgeous buildings and reflection pool make this a perfect spot for photos.

Downtown Charlottesville

Downtown is a diverse setting for some urban photos - train tracks, the Paramount, outside the bar where you first met. A short walk around provides so many various backdrops for some great pictures.

Chiles Peach Orchard

With the beautiful smell of fresh peaches in the air, and rolling mountain backdrops.
